Ways to customize 2004 VW Jetta?

OK. I have a 2004 Jetta. I want ways to customize it. Nothing too Pimp My Ride (like 20 inch wheels lol) but here are some ideas i had…

LED Running lights like on Audi RS6 (http://i22.ebayimg.com/04/i/001/16/7f/5078_1.JPG)

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

P.S. I’m mainly looking for things that would make the outside look cooler; nothing too garish or ostentatious.
The picture link above it wrong….

hey man u can change the front side of the car , just like the jetta in this pic.

    or like this one

and u can change the mirror , this pic. for the vw golf but i think it will go on the jetta

also u can put a header to have a nice sound , and u can put a racing filter , it will give a sound that look like a GTI , and it give u around 5 hp

You can put on a vortex front bumper, best looking bumper in my opinion they can be found at performancecafe.com, or if you have a friend with a golf/gti that is the same color you could turn your car in to a getta, with the gti front end.

Hit the bookstore and check out the custom car mags. I like Performance VW out of the UK. There’s alot you can do it just depends on taste. I’ve seen some very tasteful mods and some very tacky ones. I’d generally avoid anything and everything at Autozone, Oreilly’s and the other auto part stores. All that stick on chrome crap and other BS just makes you car look like some retarded fast and the furious car. I always see these crappy old toyota corollas with stick on chrome that need new paint jobs.

To me, a really nice paint job, free of dings and poorly aligned body parts goes a long long way. Some people do emblem deletions on the front but I kinda think that makes it look like a honda and that sucks (like the other guy said). I wouldn’t go for “eyelids” they look pretty cheesy. They even looked cheesy on the beetles back in the day but people did it anyway…. There an old Jetta on craigslist for sale in pasadena, tx that has this “custom front end” that makes the car look heinous. No wonder it’s been for sale so long.

The germans are about style that reflects quality craftsmanship. BBS definately makes some quality wheels, and those in the know will know you spent some nice coin on them, and no, not 20’s… Lowering an inch is nice, any more is just kinda pointless. If you do anything to the suspension though be smart, dont just have someone torch your springs to lower it, get real lowering springs with a good compression rate so your car doesn’t bottom out. After all the oil pan is the lowest part of the car.

In the end it all depends on who you are trying to please. If it’s you, do whatever your littel heart desires. If it’s the general public, everyone likes something else, but everyone appreciates something original and cool. Use your imagination, but I would reccomend erring on the side of conservative.
